The Mozart Bibliography

The Online Mozart Bibliography contains the publications about Mozart, his family, and his environment worldwide. Today it comprises about 25,000 publications (books, articles, electronical publications), including all titles from the printed edition, the "Mozart-Bibliographie", which was published from 1976 to 1998. It is integrated into the online catalog of the Bibliotheca Mozartiana.

The history of the Mozart Bibliography

An extensive list of publications about Mozart had first been published by Otto Schneider and Anton Algatzy in their Mozart-Handbuch (Vienna 1962). This bibliography contains 3,900 titles. In 1975, the International Mozarteum Foundation decided to publish lists of new publications about Mozart and his family every 5 years. Until 1998, the following volumes were published:

About 18,700 publications can be found in these printed volumes. They are completely integrated into the Online Mozart Bibliography.
