Collecting – Documenting – Editing – Presenting. The Research Department of the Mozarteum Foundation Salzburg is a multi-facetted research center integrated within the Mozart Institute.  Even today, knowledge about the life and works of Mozart continues to broaden: sources and documents relating to his life and his music have been (re-)discovered and clues about his compositional process have surfaced which require the systematic analysis and evaluation of music and literature. New advances in technology allow for new methods of presentation. Scholars, librarians and archivists (documentalists) collaborate to expand this wealth of knowledge, preparing both traditional publications and establishing new platforms for scholarship and musical practice.
