THE CHAMBER: The Kitchen Revue
persons from the age of 13
A ballet suite by Bohuslav Martinu with animated delicate
china and ordinary kitchen utensils, enriched with dances by Mozart.
A charming wild journey, quite risky for china, can be
experienced in the Wiener Saal. Flying
plates, cups that run, cutlery and whisks, swaying beakers and dancing vases
command attention, take every possible risk, aim to subject the material they
are made of to the severest stress test because they know that ultimately it
would be perfectly possible to achieve a complete shambles.
But nevertheless, these china creations also show that they
are delicate but tough. They argue, they
love, they hate and they melt away.
Carried, held, swirled around by extremely creative hands and carefully
disposed of when smashed to pieces, china rises to new playful heights. At the next glance at the breakfast table they
haunt the mind as a playful memory for those who were present.
Animated fragile objects submit to the sound of Bohuslav
Martinu’s music and dance a ballet, so that the kitchen table almost collapses
beneath the weight of the released passion.
