MOZART ARCHIVE

The Mozart Archive has existed since the founding of the Mozarteum Foundation in 1880.  The archive serves as the depository for materials relating to Mozart’s biography and works, his contemporaries and the reception history of his works collected in the original form or as photographic reproductions.  The archive pursues its own research projects and offers support and advice for external projects, research and exhibitions.

The sources found in the Mozart Archive are a highly significant resource for the musical and cultural history of Salzburg in the 19th and 20th centuries.
