International Mozart Congress October 1 - 3, 2010
An international conference will be held in Salzburg 1–3 October 2010 in connection with a general assembly of the Academy for Mozart Research at the Internationale Stiftung Mozarteum focusing on the themes: “Mozart’s Secular Vocal Music” and “Mozart and the Romantic Period”. Referees are still welcome!

Mozart Week 2010 ends with great success
With 96% of the tickets sold the Mozart Week 2010 ended on Sunday. This even exceeded the record result of the Mozart Year 2006.

Cancellation René Jacobs for concert on Jan. 25th
René Jacobs had to cancel the conducting of the orchestra concert on Jan. 25th due to illness. We thank Petra Müllejans, concert master of the Freiburger Barockorchster, that she will take over the concert.

Today, the programme of the Mozart Week 2011 has been published in a press conference. It focuses on Mozart in the context of contemporary music - his own and ours. The Mozart Week 2011 will take place from Jan. 21st - Jan. 30th.

Special concert with newly discovered Mozart works during the Mozart Week 2010
The two piano works which had been identified as formerly unknown pieces of Mozart and have been presented within a press conference on August 2nd will be performed for the first time in public during the Mozart Week 2010.

Two New Mozart Compositions Discovered
The Research Department of the International Mozarteum Foundation, Salzburg, has identified a concerto movement and a prelude for keyboard by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in “Nannerl’s Music Book” which has been in possession of the Foundation since 1864.

Unknown Sketch found in Nantes
The mayor of Nantes announced the existence of a previously unknown sketch by W.A. Mozart. The autograph is part of an important collection of autographs left to the city of Nantes by one of its citizens, the painter Pierre-Antoine Labouchère (1807- 1873) and has since been preserved in the Municipal Library of Nantes. The autograph was re-discovered during an inventory of holdings and has since been identified by Dr. Ulrich Leisinger, Director of Research at the ISM, as an original autograph manuscript by Mozart stemming from circa 1787.

Everyday Life of a Child of Prodigy: From march 14th on the International Mozarteum Foundation presents a new exhibition on the first floor of Mozart's Birthplace. Everyday life of the Mozart family is in the spotlight of the show, focussing on the topics travelling and lifestyle in Salzburg. The exhibition addresses with it's modern architecture to adults as well as to children.

MOZART DIGITAL - Interactive CD-ROM: Fantasy and Sonata C Minor KV 475 & 457 by W. A. Mozart
In March 2006, the Research Division of the International Mozart Foundation Salzburg has released an interactive CD-ROM presenting the original autograph of the Fantasy and Sonata C Minor KV 475 & 457 by Wolfgang Ameadé Mozart in its audio and visual version. To both, music lovers and scientist, the CD-ROM project reveals insights into Mozart’s compositional process and the performance practice of his time, exceeding the well-known musical text by far. “Mozart Digital” is available in all of the IMF museums’ shops (online at www.mozarthaus.biz ) as well as at the Mayrische Buchhandlung for a recommended retail price of 12.90 Euros.
